Is it possible to create a midi output to a DAW ?

Ideally I'd like to send notes from Chrome to Maschine ( or FL studio), etc, is this even possible from the browser .
This node module does it, but this appears to be nodejs only .

@Keith, you can use the IAC driver on macOS or a loopback driver on Windows to achieve what you want. The idea is that you connect to a virtual interface which, in turn, relays the messages to your DAW.
On macOS, you just have to enable the IAC driver in Audio MIDI Setup.app. On Windows, you can install software such as loopMIDI or LoopBe1.
